Privacy Policy

Effective June 1, 2026 · Applies to the KALLED.IT website and iOS app

Who we are

KALLED.IT (“KALLED.IT”, “we”, “us”) operates the KALLED.IT prediction platform available at kalledit.com and as the KALLED.IT iOS application (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it. It applies equally to our web platform and our mobile apps.

User accounts

  • Account creation: You create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google (OAuth). One account per person; you must be at least 18.
  • Username: You choose a public username (letters, numbers, underscore). It is visible to other users on leaderboards, predictions, comments, and profile pages.
  • Profile information: Optional display name, avatar image, bio, and social links you add to your profile. Anything you put in your profile is public.
  • Account management: You can update your username, display name, avatar, bio, social links, notification preferences, and password at any time from Edit profile. You can sign out from any device, and you can permanently delete your account (see “Data deletion” below).

Email collection

  • What we collect: Your email address at sign-up. Email is never shown publicly.
  • Verification: We send a verification email so we can confirm you control the address. You must verify before you can sign in.
  • Account communications: Password resets, security alerts, and other transactional messages required to operate the Service.
  • Support communications: If you email us at kalleditappteam@gmail.com, kalleditappteam@gmail.com, or kalleditappteam@gmail.com, we retain that correspondence to respond and keep a record of the request.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your email with advertisers.

Content you create

Predictions, comments, votes, head-to-head challenges, follow relationships, and outcome notes you create are stored so we can display them, score them, and attribute them to you. Public predictions are visible to anyone with the link, including search engines and social previews. Choose “private” if you do not want this.

Analytics, usage tracking, and performance monitoring

  • Analytics tools: We use first-party server logs and our hosting provider’s built-in analytics to count pageviews and measure aggregate usage. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or third-party advertising trackers.
  • Usage tracking: We record which predictions are viewed, voted on, and shared in aggregate so we can power leaderboards, “trending” rails, and the Live Pulse.
  • Performance monitoring: We log server errors, slow requests, and crash diagnostics so we can fix bugs. These logs may contain your user ID, IP address, user-agent, and the URL you visited; they do not contain your password.
  • Product improvement: We use aggregated, de-identified metrics (e.g. “how many users created a prediction this week”) to decide what to build next. We do not build advertising profiles.

Cookies and local storage

  • Session management & login persistence: We store an authentication token in your browser’s local storage (web) or in the iOS Keychain (mobile app) so you stay signed in between visits.
  • Preferences: We store small UI preferences locally, such as whether you have dismissed the cookie notice or the “enable push” banner.
  • Analytics cookies: Our hosting provider may set a first-party cookie used only for aggregate analytics. We do not set advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing pixels.
  • You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.

Notifications

  • Push notifications (web & iOS): If you grant permission, we send push notifications for events you opted into — prediction results, head-to-head challenges, replies, follows, and leaderboard milestones. On iOS, push is delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs); on the web, through your browser’s Web Push provider. We store the device token solely to deliver these messages.
  • Email notifications: Account-critical emails (verification, password reset, security) are always sent. Optional emails (digests, result summaries) can be turned off.
  • Leaderboard & prediction-result notifications: Sent only when the underlying event you predicted on is graded.
  • Your preferences: Manage all notification preferences from Edit profile → Notifications. You can also disable push from your device’s system settings (iOS Settings → KALLED.IT → Notifications, or your browser’s site permissions).

How users manage their information

  • Update profile: Edit profile lets you change username, display name, avatar, bio, and social links.
  • Disable notifications: Toggle push and email categories in Edit profile → Notifications, or revoke permission from your device/browser settings.
  • Export your data: Email kalleditappteam@gmail.com and we will send a copy of your account data within 30 days.
  • Delete individual predictions: Open the prediction and choose “Delete”.

Data deletion

  • How to delete your account: Go to Edit profile → Danger zone, type DELETE, and confirm. The action is immediate and cannot be undone. You can also email kalleditappteam@gmail.com from your account email to request deletion.
  • What is removed: Your profile, username, email, avatar, predictions, comments, votes, head-to-head challenges, follows, notification tokens, and authentication records.
  • Timeline: Removed from live systems immediately. Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days. After that, only anonymous, aggregated counts (e.g. “number of predictions in May 2026”) may remain.
  • What may be retained: Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. payment/tax records if you purchased points or a subscription) and content that other users have quoted or referenced, with your identifying details removed.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted infrastructure providers to run the Service: cloud hosting and database (for storing your account and predictions), email delivery (for verification and account emails), push delivery (Apple Push Notification service for iOS, your browser’s Web Push endpoint on the web), Google OAuth (only if you sign in with Google), and Stripe (only if you make a purchase). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Children

KALLED.IT is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a minor created an account, email kalleditappteam@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), data is encrypted at rest by our hosting provider, and access to production systems is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Use the in-app controls above or email kalleditappteam@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
